Center fielder Chris Young left Friday night's game in the second inning because of a right groin strain, the same injury he suffered earlier in the season, except on the other leg.
Young said he felt it tighten up on him as he stole second base after a single to lead off the game. He was late getting to his position in the bottom of the inning.
"I got it wrapped up real quick," he said. "I was going to try to play with it. But then I realized that I didn't want to end up hurting the team with a ball out there in the gap and I can't get there."
Young did not think this injury is as serious as when he strained the left groin during the second series of the season in Washington and missed three games.
"Hopefully at the most, I'll miss three games," he said. "But I'm going to come in (today) and get it worked on, and if I can go, I'll go. I'm ready to get back in there as quick as I can."
