Postby audioboy » Fri May 18, 2007 9:47 am

I have a trade offer out to an owner in my league who said I could include one of the following

Billy Butler
Evan Longoria
Homer Bailey

Who do you think is the better prospect?

I think they are all very similar it just depends on what you want.

Go with what you need on you're team. I think Butler will end up being the better offensive bat between him and Longoria, though they should be very close. Longoria will give you better position eligibilty though.....and Bailey should be a solid pitcher for years. So what do you need help with most and choose that guy..... can't go wrong, IMO.

As said before, it depends on what you are looking for. If you need a stud Ace, then go with Bailey. But if I had my choice, I'd go with Evan Longoria. I like him alot. He is Alex Gordon-esq. Lots of pop. But, you can't go wrong with Butler either.
Is pushing for President Obama to pass a law requiring all citizens to be Chicago White Sox fans and make October 1st "White Sox Day" where we all dress as our favorite player. It maybe socialist, but I don't care.

Billy Butler hands down for me. Tremendous bat that will be in the lineup even with his defensive difficulties.

I think Butler is a little safer due to the fact that he's seen major league pitching, and it looks like he can handle it pretty well. There's also a possibility of him gaining eligibility in the OF and at 1B.

I think Longoria has a tremendous upside, but I think it's still too early to gamble on him over a more proven prospect.

As far as Bailey goes, his stock isn't as high as it was at the beginning of the season. I would say that he's below Hughes, Lincecum, and Gallardo if I were to rank the preseason stud pitchers now.

;-D No question
Just traded BButler, BWood & JLoney for Mark Teixeira, Ryan Theriot & Renyel Pinto in a DYNASTY LEAGUE. Big gamble I know!
