News: Randy Johnson apparently has been dealing with stiffness in his back for more than a week, which was one of the reasons manager Bob Melvin lifted him from Monday's game in Denver after six innings, even though the veteran, recovering from October back surgery, was almost perfect through six innings against the Rockies at Coors Field. "I think he's at a point in time in his career when if his body speaks to him, he will listen now," Melvin said, "where in the past, he might not."

I have him too and the way I see it is if they continue to monitor him and his back, I think he can put up decent numbers. Yeah Randy may need to be rested a little here and there or taken out of games early, but if that helps him perform than I am all for it.

yea, i think this is actually not a bad thing. as long as they monitor it and he gets 175 innings he'll help them and me. get him cheap(er) right now from someone that doesn't believe in that last start
