Delmon Young's First Multi-HR Game

Postby Prooks25 » Thu May 17, 2007 11:34 pm

The star-to-be Delmon Young had his first multi HR game of his short career tonight...including a walk off, game winning HR. He's been getting better and better the past few games, and we may soon be looking at the star player everyone had predicted.

Me benching him must have fired him up. Hopefully he can finally get it going now.

Yeah I would not have played him either had it not been a Thursday.
A few of my other guys didn't play today.

I just put him back in my lineup too.

I'm starting to notice a trend with Delmon. He swings at everything, and that's been KILLING him at the plate.

I noticed on, I think Tuesday, that he had to BB's in the game. I had him on my bench. Since I saw him being patient, I figured i'd throw him into my lineup, and he's been solid the last two nights.

Sooo....when Delmon's swinging freely, he'll slump early in his career I think. When he's seeing the ball well and being patient, get him in your lineup. I've noticed this trend work a couple times this season, He gets a few walks and then hits for a few games....I'd play him (at least for now), when you see those streaks coming.

Eh, maybe it's just dumb luck, but I'd like to feel like I was an observant manager.
