Figgins has been back for a little while but he might as well still be on the DL. He's been a disappointment so far and I don't see any reason why you should pick him up just because he's available.

Soriano, Bay, Abreu and Dye... you can't complain. I think Dye (as well as the rest of the White Sox) will steadily improve as well, he went 2 for 3 with a home run and 4 RBI today against NY.

Also... wrong forum, but I guess there is some flexibility since it was an inquiry on a specific player.

Just "feeling some pain"...
Chone Figgins is still feeling some discomfort from the fractures on the index and middle fingers of his throwing hand, injuries that sidelined him for the first month of the season.

I'd be half-tempted to drop Sanchez for Figgins. Freddy hasn't be doing much and you have to wonder if 85 6 85 3 .344 in 2006 was his career year, albeit fairly early in his career. He sure won't give you any SBs.

Tough call, cuz Freddy has proven he can hit ... depends on where your greatest needs are.

Figgins's rope is getting shorter and shorter on my team.

he's benched on my team. my analysis is that he won't really be worth anything until he's hitting in the top of the order. right now he's hitting eighth or ninth every game. willits is stealing all his thunder. there's no way he's going to score nearly as many runs or even steal as many bases unless he's up near the top of the order. and that's not going to happen unless he starts hitting. here's a blurb from yahoo

May 18 Lyle Spencer, of LosAngeles.Angels.MLB.com, reports Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 3B Chone Figgins (fingers) was given the day off Thursday, May 17. Figgins had played 16 straight games with two fractured fingertips on his throwing hand. He was also hitless in his last 15 at-bats and had committed three errors in 16 games.

Another 0-4 night was just too much. I dumped him for Scott Linebrink, which will really help in HLDs.
