New to DirecTV this year is my first year. Was wondering about the Extra Innings package. Does anyone here subscribe to it? If so do you us it in conjunction with TIVO? How does it work? How much was it? And are you satisifed enough to get it again this year?
Regards,

I have subscribed to the extra innings package for 4-5 years now..it is great...normally 6-7 games per day...although your local team will be blacked out. Its awesome as far as fantasy goes...I usually channel surf back and forth watching the different players on my rosters...you chould definately get it. I dont have TIVO though so I cant help ya out there

I wish Dish Network had it.
So if you live in New York, both the Mets and Yanks would be blacked out?

I just got DirecTV too but I work at night so I don't guess it would be worth it for me (except on holidays I guess).

No Yanks and Mets are part of your regional package via YES and MSG.

I have subscribed for the past two years. I love it. You can get to see every fantasy player on a semi-regular basis. You’ll have a heaping of games except for days when ESPN or Fox have a national game (Wed + Sat afternoon in the summer) or the game is broadcasted on local TV. However, local TV broadcasts are getting fewer and farther between.
I use it with Yahoo’s Stattracker and can pretty much watch my lineup live.
A friend of mine has Tivo. There is a slight problem. If you notice your on-screen guide, sporting events are given extra long blocks of time to allow for extra innings and overtime. It’s really frustrating because you, for the most part, can only program one game per night, as the east coast game slots will run past the beginning of the west coast games. The system will give you a conflict error if your programmed shows overlap.

No system lets you record two things at the same time. VCR to DVR. That has always been a limiting factor.

I get NFL Ticket every year, but never did the MLB. How much is it?
Does anyone who has DirecTV know when they are doing the "Freeview" where you get the package free for a week or so?
I think last year they did it in like the second or third week.
