Reyes Limping too first!!

Postby dipset » Thu May 17, 2007 12:40 am

Reyes singled to leftfield and came out of the box weird. He jogged/limped down to first. They immediately pinch ran someone for him and tossed his helmet against the wall and walked down into the clubhouse. AHH my best player cant be hurt!!!

If anyone gets updates please post :~(

No word yet, but they did look at his swing b4 he got the hit and it showed him tapping is hamstring and stretching out his left leg... hopefully its a minor pull, but it definetely bothered him right b4 he got the basehit... fantasy baseball aside, reyes cannot be hurt!!! :~( :~( :~( :~( :~( :~( :~( :~( :~( :~( :~( :~( :~(

ok, this isnt official, but people around the clubhouse claimed reyes is walkin around fine. apparantely when he was tapping his hammy and stretching it, he felt tightness and on the basehit, he didnt limp bc of pain, he did it bc of the tightness and didnt wanna run hard to risk injury... hopefully this is true!

Jose Reyes-SS-Mets May. 17 - 1:33 am et

Jose Reyes said he'll play Thursday after coming out of Wednesday's game in the eighth with left hamstring tightness.

Reyes said he felt a cramp after his first swing in the at-bat, though he stayed in initially. The Mets just have to hope the problem is no more significant than Reyes believes it is.

Fingers crossed... :-°
