He is pitching 7-8 innings in every game except for 1. His stuff is looking good and he doesn't seem to be struggling that much. I think it's safe to say he is back and can easily win 17 games with 190 K's and a ERA around 2.20
Any more thoughts?
Sorry there was a mess up on the 2.20 I meant 3.20, the other numbers I think he can do, while the 12 K's was a career high, I see him being able to K more than in years past.
17....yes..3.20...yes....190....I'd say 160 is a safer bet....
And he's not going to come close to 272 IP. His career high is 240. Say he matches that. Then we're talking 167 IP. Now, I said 160 was probably more likely. Given his current K-rate, that would mean a hair less than 230 IP, which I think is more likely, and I only go that high becuase of how many he's already pitched.
He's been doing great so far. But let's not go overboard here.

Ok guys let's revisit this. After 3 of his last 4 games have been less-than-mediocre and his ERA over the last month is over 5.00, where do you stand on Hudson? Still think he's gonna be a low-3 ERA for the entire season?
Also over the last month his k/9 is below 5 and his season k/9 is 5.4, closer to what he's done the past few years. You think he's gonna pick it back up?
Are we still thinking 3.2 ERA, 160 Ks? Or now are we closer to 4.0 ERA with 140 Ks - in the middle of his 2005 and 2006 seasons?
Tim Hudson used to be one of my favorite players when he first came up... I liked the whole Big 3 for Oakland. But it's obvious that all of them, Zito, Mulder, and Hudson, just aren't the same anymore. Hudson will be a decent option from here on out but don't be expecting any dominance.
