The worst moment of my draft this year is when I started to hear the muttering of "Whose turn is it?" "Come on pick already!" and
"This is getting ridiculous". I went on to crumble and take Dan Uggla as my 9th round pick in a 12 team league. I wanted to trade him before the 10th round even started.
However as it turns out, Uggla has been a very good player thus far in the season. So good in fact that in all of MLB he ranks...
Top 15 in Runs Scored
Top 20 in Home Runs
Top 30 in RBI's
His average has risen as of late to .245, which is not good at all, but he is easily in reach of the .283 he put up last year.
Does anyone think that at this point he could not only duplicate last years numbers, but surpass them altogether?

are you serious ??
He had an horrible April, he looks better in may
some awful stats:
- 5 HRs, 13 RBIs in 3 games ...... 3 HRs, 12RBIs in the other 36 - 40 k/39 games
- 0.188 vs Lefties

-I fail to see how it matters what games he puts up numbers as long as he puts them up.
-He had high K numbers last year as well, so it was to be expected.
-He's had 32 AB's against lefties so far, hardly a reasonable sample size, especially seeing as he hit .307 against lefties last year.

- have you heard about H2H ??
- my league counts Ks and "expected" doesn't mean 1+ for game
Also players who get most of their stats in a small number of games generally have harder times keeping up those stats. It means they saw a pitcher with bad stuff most of the time.
I think Uggla is going to be worse than last yaer, I don't think the fall will be as far as people expected though. I still think he hits 20 Hr's which is great for a 2B.

That's you're problem that you add a category like Ks and then take a guy that struck out 123 times. Most people determine value based of a vanilla 5x5 league. I've been happy with his production thus far. 15th in HR, 12th in R, and 25th in RBI ain't too bad for a mid rounder (especially a 2B).
He is in a hot streak but the smart money was still on him crapping out preseason. That he is playing well is good for his owners but that still doesn't mean he was a good pick in the preseason.
