Nobody has an opinion on this? This seems a bit lopsided to me. Please let me know what you think... I realize you might not think this post is serious as it might seem beyond obvious to you, but humor me as there are some managers in my league that seriously have no problem with this.

It's a salary cap head-to-head KEEPER league.

I'm embarassed to say that I have no idea who Ricky Romero, Eric Patterson, and Chuck Tiffany are.

I assume they're highly touted prospects or something.

If they aren't, then yeah, I guess it is a veto, because Lincecum is a future stud.

Yeah, I woulda helped you before, but I really don't know those players.

It probably is vetoable, but 6 weeks of AA/AAA stats about players aren't quite enough of a frame of reference for me to say for sure.

Petterson is ranked 106th, Romero is somewhere beyond the 115 listed and Lincecum was 16th overall. That was before the season. Romero is the Blue Jays top pitching prosect, but that's sort of like being the best ice hockey player in Egypt in the fact the honor is probably more ceremonial than meaningful.

6 weeks is not a lot of time I agree, but I don't think Patterson & Romero have flown up the charts based on their April-May performance whereas I think Lincecum would probably be up with Bailey & Hughes SP wise based on his 0.29 ERA, 0.74 WHIP in AAA in April.

When the $2 of bad Cintron salary is factored in the team is literally paying the other to take Lincecum. In this league cap is precious as that is the only way to add free agents. The team trading Lincecum gave up $2 of their remaining $4 limiting them to, at most, two more free agent acquisions during the season.
