Well said.

What will get this thread shut down is people expressing joy at somebody's death. Whether it is warranted or not posts like that will definitely get a reaction and cause a fight.

Not exactly one of the best examples of Christianity, but an unfortunate loss. It's a shame he couldn't see the error of his ways before he passed.

I don't know. The first few responses in this thread don't seem that way.

I'm all for bad people getting gone, but I really don't enjoy their deaths. To me, the death of a bad person is sad because it means that they ran out of time to turn things around.

Well said. We hit on this on the LightSide and while I certainly don't condone what this man stood for in his life, I will not be one of these that glorify in his death. We can discuss his errors and wrongs at a better time methinks.

I think that Falwell's death is God's punishment on a nation that supports homosexuality.

Actually, I don't see why Falwell deserves any more respect than Saddam got when he was hanged. Nobody was then claiming "we can discuss his errors and wrongs at a better time."

It may be crass and in appropriate, but I don't mourn Falwell's death.
