You know...I'd be interested to see the numbers of some of the most prominent wire additions over the last year or two seems to me that a lot of them will put up numbers that although useful aren't going to provide a spectacular advantage. Braun I think may be a good example...most of the projections I've seen are somewhere around 15 homeruns and 5-10 SBs. That's nice but in in 10 and 12-team leagues isn't that close to replaceable off the wire generally? Pitchers are another story I think altogether but like I said...it'd be interesting to see what the story is
for the record....I do own Lincecum and chose to add Gallardo instead of Braun (I own D. Wright) in a 12 team mixed roto.
Also would like to thank you guys for bringing the additions to my attention...I somehow got gallardo with a #8 waiver priority. Figured if I waited on gallardo someone who take him then I'd lose braun to a higher waiver priority since he's had more exposure. Guess we'll see how it all works out in the next few weeks.

Well it certainly depends on your league setup. In my 14 team league with 30 man rosters these guys go with the #1-#3 waiver most of the time and they are worth it.
In a yahoo default league your team is all all-stars anyway so they are a lot less valuable.

why bump this one up. Why couldn't you post a new thread. I know Cafe is big on keeping it all in one thread but really if Ryan Braun was listed in the first post I would have known that was last year and some people would think nothing about that for Kansas City has a Pitcher name Ryan Braun.
