Last place and not moving! HELP! WHIR-If you want it.

A 12 team Yahoo Roto 5x5 league.

I usually do a casual autodraft league just for fun along with my other competitive leagues. This one is killing me. I am in last place and have been since the third week of the season.

C Doumit Pit
1B Teixiera
2B M Giles
3B S Rolen
SS F Lopez
OF A Soriano
OF J Dye
OF G Sizemore
U S Victorino
B R BAldelli
B M Piazza
B J Pierre
DL H Kendrick

SP R Oswalt
SP J Blanton
RP Gagne
RP Accardo -Tor
P M CAin
P N Lowry
P R Johnson
B B Wickman
B J Schmidt

The only Cat's I have more than 3 points in are SB-9,W-8,K-7.

I don't see much on the waiver wire, but I don't want to fall to far to make up ground later.

What do you all think. Thanks in advance.

PS Non-keeper.

Pierre seems to be your biggest bargaining chip.

RP is your weakest area. Maybe try trading Pierre for a middle of the road closer? You might be able to buy low on Chad Cordero.

I also think that Rolen is done. You could try trading Rolen/Pierre for an upgrade at 3B. Perhaps the Atkins owner is getting frustrated?

Also, I see no reason to hold onto Piazza. Drop him for a reliever or something.

I agree on Pierre, I picked him on Waivers for that reason.

As far as Rolen, as you can tell from my screen name, I will give him a bit more leeway than others, but that is a thought.

Piazza: How long is he out? I thought 4-6 weeks as of a couple of weeks ago? To me a player with C eligibility that never players C is very valuable, especially with his offensive skills. I will keep him since my DL should clear out in a couple of weeks.

Thank You

Postby Heiserman02 » Tue May 15, 2007 1:05 am're really going to need Teixiera, Rolen, Lopez, and Dye to get going if you're going to make up ground...the other guy was right when he said that RP is your biggest weakness, but at this point, I don't know if you have enough trading pieces to pick up enough to compete...maybe its time you punted saves and picked up 3-4 solid MR to help your ratios and then picked up spot starters when available...using this strategy you might be able pick up some points in 4/5 pitching cats...

I would also drop piazza...I like Doumit and you could use that roster spot for better options anyway....I would also say deal Pierre...OR Victorino while he's so hot right now along with someone else for an upgrade somewhere...

hope i helped
