The Cards offense is the worst in the league. Pujols has no protection what so ever.
Most of the time the lineup goes like this:
Kennedy or Taguchi
Duncan
Pujols
Spiezio
I dont think Ive ever seen anyone sandwiched between such horrible hitters ever in my life. The Cards have no pitching and no batting. Pujols is in for a very long season and IF he ever does snap out of this horrible funk, he will get walked every at bat. I feel so bad for him.

Vlad doesnt have it that bad. At least he has hope for the future. Kendrick-Wood-Morales-Kotchman-Mathis and then Willits-Figgins for speed in front of him.
Pujols as of right now has no light at the end of the tunnel unless Rolens and Edmonds somehow go back to their prime years. The Cards dont even have any top prospects to look forward to. Maybe the Cards will buy M. Cabrera before the season is over.

It's still way too early to say he won't put up 1st round numbers.
Did you guys like Arod's production in April? That was pretty much Pujols in 06. There are a handful of stud players who literally can carry your team for a month by himself like Pujols, Arod, Ortiz...

Im not saying that Pujols wont put up 1st round numbers. He is just in a very bad situation right now and unless the Cards bring in some protection for Pujols, he isnt going to put up is career numbers.
