anyone hear anything on future? Is he staying put in the rotation even after Ortiz gets off the DL. Any info would be great!!

try searching for that answer on this site with the search button. there are a couple threads that are 10+ pages on this kid.

pretty sure he will stay in the rotation though.

Russ Ortiz-S-Giants May. 14 - 11:18 am et


Russ Ortiz (elbow) threw off a mound on Sunday and could leave early this week for a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A San Jose.

Ortiz could be moved to the bullpen when he is activated from the disabled list so that Tim Lincecum can remain in the rotation. "I can't answer that because that might not be the case," Ortiz said about moving to the bullpen. "I don't want to go down that road. When I have the opportunity to be activated, I'll deal with that when the time comes."
