penny and his corpulence will fade as the year progresses or hopefully suffer an injury. Santana should be the easy choice here since he seems to be the best pitcher every season

i'm a padres fan, but i'd still rather have santana. his 2nd half #s can't be compared.

even though peavy pitches in NL West, it's not like he just moved to the NL West. he's always been there, and johan's always been in AL Central. didn't stop santana from putting up better #s than peavy the past what, 3 or 4 seasons? why would that be different now?

and don't the twins also have a pretty solid bullpen? rincon, crain, nathan ....

Concur, couldn't have said it better, Johan is number one then either/or on Oswalt/Peavy.
