Clay Buchholz or Nick Adenhart?

Who do you think has the better chance to start in 08 and who do you think will be the better pitcher in 08 and 09.

Even though I own Adenhart, I'd say Bucholz will be better. He is the top of the next wave of top tier pitchers once Gallardo, Bailey, and Adam Miller go through. I've seen people project Adenhart as a #3 guy, but I think he's going to develop into a solid 2 guy.

I think Adenhart will have a better chance to start sooner, but I think Clay is the better pitcher and will be on a better team. Less injury risk with Clay also.

i agree, i think Clay has #1 projectable stuff and even tho i really like Adenhart i think his ceiling is a #2.

Baseball America has Clay projected at a possible #1 and Adenhart as a #2 starter. At this point they seem to be pretty much equal, but I would go with Clay based on the fact that Adenhart already had Tommy John surgery.

Everything is setting up for Buchholz to move into the rotation in 08 if they don't re-sign Schill. The Sox are have interesting options with guys like A. Jones and Hunter available if their teams are out of contention. If Coco doesn't get on base more then I could see Theo pulling the trigger with Ellsbury and Buchholz/Bowden (although I'd like to keep all of them) for a big time player. It should be an interesting trade deadline to say the least.
