You would certainly hope so. He has been very reliable for a long time and I think it is safe to assume that he'll pick things up.
After all, that entire offense is struggling. It's only a matter of time before Dye and Konerko heat up and Thome gets back.

I'm highly invested in Konerko, but look at his splits in 2003. He was beyond awful from April-June, finally started hitting in July. On July 1 of that year, he was hitting .185 with an OPS of .525 and only 3 HR in 211 AB. It was very scary, same year Pat Burrell was hitting below .200 deep into August.

His Avg has been above .280 every year in his career since he's been a full timer, except for that dreaded 2003 season. He's had bad months in the past, and still ended up with good numbers. All its gonna take is a hot streak, and his numbers will start looking normal. I think he'll be fine!!

his avg. has already jumped 20 points in the past 10 days or so. I think it'll be gradual, but he'll have respectable numbers in the end.

i don't think this is as big a deal as many are making it out to be because so many upper-tier 1Bs have started terrible.
basically everyone except for fielder, ortiz, and gonzalez has been a disappointment so far.

Ok, with today's 2/3 with a HR and 3 RBI against Santana, I think I'm gonna have to start him at UTIL everyday for a while.
With Thome healthy and Dye hitting, it looks like he's turned the corner.
