Helton is batting around .400 and is a serious threat to bat .350 on the year if you look at his contact rate and line drive percentages. Every analysist commenting on Helton says that his power is gone as do rotowire and rotoworld, but he is slugging .556. Is Helton's power really gone? If he batted .340 the rest of the way and ended the season with 20 or so hrs and 100 rbi/runs how high would he rank in first basemen?

Personally I can't help but think he's going under the radar and has an okay shot at being a top 5 1b again.

Pujols
Ortiz
Howard
Hafner
Morneau
Lee
Berkman
Gonzalez
Teix

All guys that I'd take over Helton right now and for the rest of the year. That's not top 5.

nobody has fielder love?

helton is top 15 maybe... his hr numbers need to be way higher if he wants to compete with the slugging 1bs.

You guys say HR numbers are the only thing to consider as far as 1B

However, helton barely ever K's

Other then pujols all those guys are k machines. But in some leagues Helton could definitely be top 5 and in most top 10

The humidor is really making Coors a harder place to hit HR's since the dimensions are so massive.

Anyways helton is a great ball player and His lack of K's make him huge in points leagues or leagues where you get penalized K's

im in one that does. Also counts BB, so Helton is even more valuable . points leagues often use Ks.
