I'm usually not one to jump on the bandwagon, but I'm on. Hopefully he'll land a starting gig for the remainder of the season. He's the lead off man the Angels have needed. ;-D

I have been watching this kid and he seems for real. I know its not the right forum for this, but would you drop JD Drew or Billy Butler for him in a keeper?

No, he's not as valuable as either Drew or Butler in a keeper.

The big question here should be what happens when Garrett Anderson comes back. Howie Kendrick is also a couple days from returning. What happens to the Angel lineup when these two return?

Willits will continue to be the lead off guy. Kendrick is more of a #2 guy or they may even have him hit right after Vlad to give him some protection.

I don't think lineup order is what's being questioned. More of an odd man out who will be sitting type deal as the Angel OF is generally Anderson/Matthews/Guerrero, and Willits may be fighting for PT.

I believe Kendrick will easily get his job back, so there's no issue there. Anderson could slip in as DH alongside Hillenbrand until he's really ready to go. I can't imagine they sit Willits after how well he's been playing, so I'm guessing this is what will happen. Since Hillenbrand isn't exactly hitting the cover off the ball, Willits or Anderson might get the DH gig while Hillenbrand sits and/or platoons with Quinlan/Kotchman at first base.

There's no doubt Kendrick would get his job back. The only real conflict is the OF positioning.
