hmm.. I'm in need of some swipes and 6 SB in 69 ABs isn't too bad.
For those who have been watching closely, is this guy still getting it done? Can you see him staying at the top of LA's lineup? Is he a Figgins type of player without all the positional elegibility?
I like Willits to stick around because he's hitting well and he's at the top of the order. If he continues to hit, I honestly believe he'll be a full time player.
PS- We need to change the title of this thread to "What you talking 'bout Willits"
I actually like what this kid brings to the table for the angels. he's a good leadoff man who works counts, gets on base, steals bases, scores runs. But I dont see him keeping up his current pace throughout the year if he's still starting in like a month because the only reason he's starting is cuz anderson is hurt. This kid is decent and should stay on the big league club definitely worth a look in all deeper leagues.
I've been watching him every chance I get and I have to believe that he's going to get 20 or so SBs before the all star break. From there on out, it's a matter of whether or not he stays in the lineup. But right now, he's running, all the time.
No, but after walking in his first AB, he had one swiped, but Cabrera put it in play. He would have made it without a throw. I just think in that offense with him running nearly every time he gets on, he could be in for a big first half, if not season.
At the least he's a good SB rental for a couple of weeks.
