Despite having a low career BABIP, the .234 mark he has for this season I'm sure has something to do with that poor batting average. Going into the season, I expected him to be able to put up near last year's numbers, not necessarily matching them. I do still think there's a chance going forward that he can produce very well. He has 5 hits in his last 4 games with no 0-fers, with a HR and 4 RBI in those 4 games. The White Sox on the whole seem to be hitting pretty poorly, though, but with that lineup in tht park, you have to assume they'll all wake up sooner rather than later.

He's a pretty good major league hitter, it's hard to hit homers and keep the strikeouts down if you're not Dominican. What has always held Crede back is his inability to get on base by drawing walks. Even during his great 2006 season, he only had 28 walks and a .323 OBP... that's Eric Byrnes territory. It's difficult to be a valuable fantasy player with a very low OBP, because it severely limits peripheral stats.

I'm not so sure about that.
I'm just glad his glove hasn't fallen apart. The kid can handle the corner.
Well, playing third base he's not roster worthy in mixed 12-team. I never even considered drafting him.
his excellent defense does make him a bit better in actual baseball than in fantasy...
agreed, he's not rosterable, at least at this time, in a 12 teamer...but last year he certainly was. maybe that was a career year; my guess is that he'll have a similar year this year, but hey, my guess is all that it is...

My guess is he'll have a good month or so, giving many fans a reason to pick him up, but only to receive a dud thus wasting a roster spot which could have been put to better use.
