Good for him. Despite his ego, the guy loves the game and wants to be around it. Maybe that means he should start coaching, but it's nice to see players who don't take the game for granted.

I agree. If he wants to come back and feels like he can contribute then more power to him.

Super Serious Question: Is it worth it to use my #1 waiver priority on Rickey Henderson? I think it's a solid gamble that he can reproduce his 1985 numbers (.314, 24 HR, 146 R, 80SB). I like those odds.

Who should I cut for him, Ryan Howard or David Wright? They're both off to horrible starts and are proving that they have nothing left in the tank.

I didn't understand why no one gave him a chance. He can still run, play good defense, and his OBP will easily be over .325. His BA might only be .260 or so with not much power, but he has a great eye.

Plenty of teams have players that are worse than him.

I don't mean now, I mean 5 years ago. He had a solid year the year before, then baseball just said "get out of here." I thought it was weird.

Last I saw him he was still just as cut as he was when he was 35. If Franco can do it, Rickey can.
