Question I propose is who is this years Markakis & Monreau ???
last year both were pretty bad, cut in some leagues, in the 1st couple months, then both absolutely caught fire , so wanted to get some cafe opinions on who they could be this year, so we can acquire them b4 they heat up
Ill say Delmon Young for one is a guy who can go off

Gordon could put up a season similar to Markakis......Seasons like Morneau dont come around too often where you are hitting .200 going into May and then win the MVP. Maybe for a established star but not for someone who had Morneau status going into last year even though he has always been touted

Adam LaRoche?
I know I am hoping, (both Fantasy League, and for my Bucco's)
He usually is a strong second half performer.....and should be available in everyones Waiver Wire List.

Scott Olsen may have been dropped in your league. That was a mistake and he'll have a very good 2nd half. Just like last year.
Pettitte also had a great 2nd half, and with his buddy Clemens, he may be happy enough to repeat.
Pettitte after the break:
1.69 ERA .90 Whip 91k in 111 IP
Of course he's going to be 35 and pitching in the AL East this summer.
Let's go O's. Let's go Mets.

The question is who will be this years Markakis ( a touted rookie who started slow but got hot) or Morneau (highly touted player vastly underperforming to turn it around in such a huge way that they put up MVP quality nimbers by seasons end).....nto who will have a strong second half. Pitchers shouldnt even apply. Obvious nitpicking on my part but Delgado and Olsen arent really relevant candidates

Heh. I'm still holding onto him. Keep telling myself "he's a slow starter, it's going to get better". It's taking all the discipline I have not to drop him. Hopefully I'll be rewarded in the long run.

No power but lots of points through steals and runs scored.
