What's the general consensus on him? I've always liked his makeup and all, but he's never been really dominant, and the strikeout totals are definitely not there. Having a great game today though, and what really got me to start this topic was seeing his pitch count. 8-o

I also read somewhere that he added a slider to his repertoire while recovering from injury.

What do other people think of him? Should he be on most people's rosters at this point?

It's the Angels. Take Vlad out of the lineup and the are as bad, or worse, than the Nationals. :-D

Not a fan of Cliff Lee. Liked him a couple of years ago, but just not all that impressed unless it's a really deep league.

Agreed. He lost all goodwill with me last year.

If he is available I would snatch him up in a heart beat. C. Lee has nasty stuff. If it weren't for how bad the offense played last year he would have won 16 games easily.

I would hardly say he has nasty stuff. He's a league-average strike out pitcher whose metrics have been going the wrong way for a couple of years now.

For what it's worth, they say he's added a pitch to his repertoire. A slider or something. Things changed drastically for Putz last year when he added a new pitch, so it might help Lee throw hitters off a bit more.

Also with the type of run support he will get with the Indians, I'd say he's a decent pickup. I just dropped Chuck James for him.

I just added him today too. IMO he is at least worth a shot, you could be doing a lot worse than Lee.
