They don't even show NHL games on TV anymore. I can't imagine they still televise the draft. :-b

There was a poll on ESPN Yesturday asking if you would watch the Draft and a vast majority said no. It just goes to show that even though Baseball America and other prospect experts are increasing the general knowledge of the public about prospects, the general population doesn't really know anything or care about what goes into building a baseball team. Which is kinda sad IMO. Ten years from know the MLB draft will likely be much more popular.

Some big Names:

David Price-P -Consesus Number 1 pick
Matt Weiters-C - Top college hitter
Josh Vitters-3B- top Highschool prospect
Andrew Brackma-P- good college pitcher shpuld go top 10

All Keith Law has been doing lately is covering the draft. I don't really i agree with a lot of his prospect anylsis so i would also check out Baseball America.

In a year or two it will be on the Baseball channel, so who cares what percentage of ESPN's sheep will watch.

I will. A Lot of people around here will.

I wish more minor league games were televised.
More college games too.
Hopefully the baseball channel will fill that void.
Dodgers FAIL, Mets FAIL, Canada FAIL.

Yeah but did you guys hear about Clemens? He signed with the Yanks. If it wasn't for ESPN, I would never have found out.

Part of the reason why NFL and NBA drafts are so popular is because of the popularity of college basketball and football. The MLB draft will only become popular when college baseball becomes popular, because then people will be interested in seeing players they have watched and where they will go.
