From what I understand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and other south-pacific countries all make nearly exact clones of Budweiser. At least they all make American-macro style beer because it's cheap and they figure that's what people want.

However, I believe that Guinness and Carlsberg (Denmark) have large-scale breweries in Malaysia and Singapore and now all but dominate the market there.

It's nice to hear they're importing decent beer there now.
