After several moves my team looks ?...ALWAYS WHIR!

How would you rate the team below in a 14 team league. I am 4-1 right now so doing ok but a bit behind in points. Any opinions or thoughts on weaknesses or what I can maybe do to improve appretiated. Always WHIR. Always!! Thanks


14 team head-to-head points league. Daily lineup changes with 7 starting pitchers per day, 12 total pitchers on roster.

At first glance, it looks like you are a little thin on power. It just doesn't seem like you have that consistent HR/power hitter in your lineup. I would look to drop or trade Ch. James. I am a big braves fan, and I don't think he will win 13 games like he did last year. He is struggling to find his rhythm and mechanics right now, and the backend of the Braves rotation has been struggling...talks of bringing up a minor leaguer and possibly starting Oscar Villareal. I like your lineup as far as avg. and speed. I'm unfamiliar with your league style with the minors and what not, so I can't help you much with that, but if I had to make a move ... I would maybe look to trade Kinsler in a sell high type of deal, that way you could move K. Johnson to 2B, if you package James, maybe you could receive another OF and a good SP or Closer (although I would go SP since wins count for more points)...hope this helps!

I'd grab a solid middle reliever or a closer if possible. I like Soria but your saves situation is hurting. See if you can get anyone from the Padres pen.

after looking at the points system i would say definitley look for a consistent closer at 10 points a save, also i agree with the other guy who said you could use a little more power hr guys can do a lotta damage in your points system, i do a cbssportline h2h league with a similar points system

Guess some are mistaking this as a category league...its actually strictly total points based individual statistics. So I dont have to worry about winning saves or homeruns (which I am actually leading the league in believe it or not). Although they do pick up big points as some have noted. So knowing this do opinions change...I agree my pitching is the weak area but not sure in a 14 team league how weak it really is. Soria will probably go when Dotel comes back...although I would love to see KC give him a shot at starting (not going to happen I am afraid)! Do I still hang onto Lidge and wait to see if he closes again? Think I need to wait and see on CH James considering there is virtually nothing on waivers given the 14 team league with 12 pitchers per team. I have actually considered moving Kinsler of KJ but I think they are too valuable right now and I may be better starting both as I think they both have good seasons. Also to the Braves fan...what do you think of Lerew? I may pick him up and keep Lincecum in the minors for a bit to see who is better to drop of Lerew or McCarthy after a few starts. Anyway, the help is appreciated...just keep in mind I dont need to win any categories, just need the most points overall. I will look into closers but I may need to pay a premium since they are so few and far between. Thanks and any other thoughts welcome!

Just offered Hermida for Wes Helms...think I might take it considering I dont use Wes and Hermida could break out eventually this year...could use another OF option incase someone goes down or doesnt produce I guess. Good deal for me?
