I think he was batting very low in the lineup for most, if not all, of last year. There is some truth to that though, I believe he was hitting 9th for much of the year and had protection from Damon behind him. This year he has Doug M

The Yankees would benefit from moving him back to the 2 hole. Damon-Cano-Jeter-A-Rod-Giambi-Abreu would be the smart play for the lineup.

Abreu froze up on a fastball down the middle yesterday to lose the game. I dislike him
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

You mean that Rivera threw a beach ball down the middle to Beltre yesterday to lose the game...

Having Abreu hit that low wouldn't be a smart move at all. He's consistently one of the best OBP guys in the league. He needs to hit at the top of the order, especially before the big boys.

I also just looked and noticed that Abreu hasn't walked in like 15 games. Coincides with his horrible slump pretty nicely.

That and Cano just isn't that good yet. No way he should be getting my at bats a game than guys like ARod.
I'd like to see him hitting 9th again like last year.
Posada is a patient hitter. He'll be fine with nothing behind him.

Abreu is one of the streakest guys, and he used to be a slow starter (not last year as I remember). He'll be fine.

Seems like the ice from Torre's head finally thawed out...He should've been hitting 7th and Giambi 3rd a week and a half, two weeks ago.
