He blew his 4th save of the season last night, plays for the awful Nationals. Is this guy a buy-low candidate? or just worthless this year?

I would not want Cordero on my team right now. He has been very ineffective, and save opps will be tough to come by on the lowly Nats.

Could be. He certainly isn't much help on the Nats, and maybe a change of scenery would do him good. Maybe he's the kind of guy who only pitches well if it matters. He sure was stellar in 2005 when the Nats were in playoff contention much of the year, but 2006 was much iffier - and now that they REALLY stink, so does he...

Cordero is a good closer with a strong track record. He is one of the lowest risk closers in terms of potential to lose his job, even if he continues to perform so-so.

That said, I woudl not be rushing to get him on my team. He is the only decent trading chip the Nats have, and I really cannot envision a scenario where he does not get moved to a contender by the end of July. This could be great if he lands in the right situation, but it is also quite possible that he will be traded somewhere to do 8th inning work, destroying his value completely.
