The Yankees have called up Matt DeSalvo and optioned Kei Igawa to Triple-A. Darrell Rasner has beaten out Igawa for a starting rotation spot, apparently.

BTW, the Yanks often sent guys to Tampa to work with pitching coach Billy Connors when their mechanics are out of whack. But, Kei will be working with Nardi Contreras and another coach towards the same end. Contreras I believe is credited with much of the positive development of Yankee pitching prospects.

Of course he's not Dice-K, we got him for half the price. Dice-Ks ERA is almost half of Igawa's right now.
