What do you guys think? Is this guy for real, in the midst of a breakout season? Or is he just pitching over his head right now. I'm thinking about dropping Josh Barfield to take a flyer on him...

The fact that so many 2B came out of nowhere this year, Hill, Johnson, Upton, etc. makes Barfield even more of a dissapointment. Hes garbage and you should drop him real fast for Shields.

Barfield is useless; James Shields is the real deal in my opinion... at least for most of the year. Get him and keep him until he starts losing.

def the real deal, sometimes his curve and change aren't the sharpest, but he still gets 7-8 K's by keeping the ball down. Stud in the making

I'm keeping my eye on him for sure. He also has the same last name as me, so if he keeps on doing this good it's a win-win situation
