Question About Aaron Hill

Postby StlSluggers » Mon May 07, 2007 11:23 am

I just read this:

The Toronto Star reports that "Jays manager John Gibbons said yesterday he will continue, for now, to keep Aaron Hill in the leadoff position in the batting order. Hill went 0 for 8 in two games at leadoff and 1 for 11 in Texas as his average dropped to .277."

Was he batting somewhere other than leadoff during his tear?

Hill batted leadoff on the final game of the Indian series on Thursday, then he batted 2nd on Friday and leaoff on Saturday and Sunday.

He didn't bat leadoff during his hot streak.

Regardless of the move, Hill will still produce. He looks very confident at the plate and seems like he'll keep up the production.

I would like to see him given the chance to bat 2nd but I don't see it happening with this lineup, probably another year of him around 7-9.

This guy is the real deal, and will only keep improving. I see a 20 HR season in his future.
