I am assuming when's he returns (which is soon)...the closer job is his. Anyone still have faith in this guy? I need his saves....BAD!

yeah... I have enough faith in him to still have him on my roster... but not so much that I didn't trade Raffy Soriano for Otsuka. I'd suggest dealing for Otsuka if you are a Gagne owner... because it's important to remember, Gagne not only has to stay healthy, but he has to be effective to fend off Otsuka. Otsuka has been good, so if Gagne struggles I'm sure they won't hesitate to move Gagne to the setup role.

Honestly, I have gagne in both leagues, but I have otsuka in both leagues as well. At this point, I hope gagne goes out for the season so I wont have to continue to waste a roster spot in the event that gagne gets injured.

Another Gagne/Otsuka owner here. A two headed monster. I figure either way both guys are good for about 30-35 combined saves. They wont kill your WHP and ERA, and Gagnes health should give a few windows to pick up usefull FAs over the course of the year.

for gagne, i remember when he got hurt, he was still throwing around 94, and being that the velocity was the big concern out of spring training, it's safe to say he's back (well, it's more like 95% back). his outpitch (changeup) was still deadly in his 4 appearances before getting hurt.

something like his right hip being injured should be due to his girth. other than that, i cant wait to see him back in his true form.
