does anyone remember the details of arod's contract. i thought that there was some type of clause in it that would ensure that he was the highest paid player over the duration of it. now that clemends will make 28mm over a yearly period, does that mean that arod gets a 2.8mm raise???

So if you look closely it say" * Rodriguez may void after 2008 or 2009 unless club increases 2009-10 salary by $5M/year or $1M more than highest-paid MLB position player" So the Clemens signing doesnt effect his contract at all.
