Brian Lawrence signs with Mets

Brian Lawrence has signed with the Mets, his agent told the Denver Post.

Lawrence has better opportunities elsewhere, though this is probably his best chance at a World Series ring. He'll provide the Mets with more veteran insurance in Triple-A. Jorge Sosa should be ahead of him in line for a permanent rotation spot.

Why didn't they sign Trachsel? Cause every Mets fan would puke after his gutless performance in Game 3 of last year's NLCS. No Pedro, no El Duque and desperate for innings, Trachsel got shelled early and left in the 1st with a bruise. I hope he chokes on a crab cake.
