if anything, he'll get sent down because Russ Ortiz gets healthy. He was a little bit nervous tonight and his walks hurt him, but I wouldn't call his performance horrible. Hold on definitely.

no. the giants didnt expect him to just mow down the phillies lineup in his first MLB start

I don't know. He'll get another start probably before Ortiz comes back but I think he needed two good starts to take over Ortiz's spot.

Man this was tough to take, I didn't expect all the walks...Didn't expect a CG shutout but definitely better than this...ah well still have C Zambrano, Kazmir, and Chris Young......still...tough to to not be disappointed.

This was not a horrible performance, evidenced by the fact that he's not the pitcher of record...

... after giving up a 2 run homer !+) !+) I don't think that inning is a good argument to give him the closer's job.
