Jorge Sosa is for real?
Most definitely not.

Not a great K rate but his whip and bbs have been very solid this year, it's not like the luck he pitched into in 05.
His fastball is awful if he's relying on it and his changeup is a nothing pitch. His slider is plus-plus when it's on. Can't trust a guy who's relying on a touch and feel pitch to be great, when he doesn't have it he'll implode.
He's better than 04/06 though. In a big ballpark with a good pitching coach it would no longer shock me to see him post eras not too far over 4. I'm riding him while he's hot, didn't start him against Detroit though.

Should I pick Jorge up whom is the best FA SP imo over Suppan, Dotel, or Blanton.

Amazinz wrote:Sosa pitched well tonight but the Mets defense was awesome. Wright made two awesome plays, Reyes stole a hit, Gomez stole two hits, one of which was most likely a triple, etc.
Which perfectly explains why his BABIP and LOB rates are so far off the charts.
If there was one thing that you could directly attribute to his recent successes, it's the fact that he's not giving up home runs like they're going out of style anymore. If he keeps that up, I would expect his regression to only be painful instead of excruciating.
However, he
is giving up more fly balls this year than last year...
