This guy was a bit of a sleeper darling going into last year but pretty much imploded right away. He had a great year in 2005 and there seemed to be a lot to like.
After falling off the map completely, I see that he has resurfaced with the Mets and actually had a very strong game against Arizona (following up 5 very strong AAA starts to begin the season). What are the thoughts on this guy? Could we be looking at a bit of a comeback story? Does anybody have any opinions/projections for him? And is he in the rotation to stay?

He's not in the rotation for good. When El Duque returns he probably goes to the pen/AAA. Although I guess there is the possibility he could take Pelfrey's job. He looked good against ARI but I'd like to see him again, against a different offense.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Personally, I'm terrified that the Mets may have just made wine out of water again (wasn't that my Braves' MO just a few years back? ). He's always had good stuff but he's never been able to harness it. If someone has managed to flip that switch, he could be a very nice waiver pickup.
Don't start him yet, but definitely consider adding him.
This could, of course, just be the paranoid Braves fan in me.

He'll likely get sent down when El Duque is back, unless Pelfrey struggles enough to warrant a demotion. Doubtful though, and El Duque has been pushed back a little but Sosa will likely just get 2 or 3 more starts.
If you're a battery, you're either working or you're dead....
Im definately gonna watch his start vs the Cubs on the 16th. I would strongly consider adding him with another stellar preformance. Seems worth the gamble.
