He's off to a very slow start... what does everyone expect of him this year?

I burned a 6 waiver for him hoping he'd emerge as my power bat but so far he's just eating roster space. Is age finally taking its tole on the big hurt?

I have him and Laroche vie ing ofr him util spot. I dont knwo which is worse. and Delgado at CI isnt helping at all.
I had one HR this week. ONE
Mauer, Pujols, Cano, Rollins, Rolen, Delgado, Furcal, Burrell, Drew, and Thomas could muster one HR
thank heaven for Rios one this week.
seriously if I didnt have Rollins my team would be in last.

he was even worse last year in april (5 hrs 11 rbis .190 avg). he turned it up huge afterwards.
not saying he will for sure turn it around, but just something to keep in mind before dropping him.

Thomas assured everyone at the beginning of the season that it would take him a good 100 ABs to find his swing because he had such limited work in spring training. He's passed the 100 AB mark so I expect him to turn it on just like he did last year. He's still seeing the ball well and he'll get great protection between wells and glaus.
