I didn't realize Bay had knee surgery until I was answering a post. I feel so uninformed and silly for not knowing that.

How much has this or will hinder his baserunning abilities? Has he said that he won't run as much? Anyone else consider trading him for a OF who will contribute more SB?

Bay's biggest hinderence to his baserunning is his inability to actually get on base.

His knee injury was 2 seasons back, he was supposed to have a healthy knee this season.

Dunno though, it's hard to tell how strong his knee is when he's striking out twice a game and otherwise hitting weak popups.

he's a career .390 obp guy. i don't think getting on base will be his problem.

i just think he's not interested in running anymore.

He's sitting on 25 steal speed, it just seems he lost interest in running (like most sluggers do). He really need to cut down the K rates though. A notorious streaky hitter, im patiently waiting for his ususal outburst. Roto leaguers shouldt be too worried. i still think he ends up with low double digit steals
