What is Cole Hamels chopped liver?? :-b

Yeah I just keep score for hits in play, no balls and strikes or anything like that.

That's the same with me. It's hard enough not missing a batter, not missing a pitch is impossible.

I still keep score for the games I go to. I taught my wife enough of the basics that she can take care of the book while I take a bathroom break. I normally see maybe one or two others out there keeping score, they are the only other people I actually see with programs.

I've done it at a few of the games I've gone to. It is tough when you need a beer, hot dog, or the long walk to the rest room.

Never would try it at home from the tV, as you don't get to see everything that you do when you're there in person.

Can anyone point me to a tutorial on how to keep score? I have a few of the basics but stuff like lineup changes, complicated put-outs, etc escape me.

I take my daughter to our local Independent League team's games and I'd like her to want to go for the game, not just the hotdogs and the playground. I want to learn to keep score so I can teach her, and pass along a love for the game.

20 years from now she'll be the greatest wife ever, if I have my way. :-b

My wife coaches varsity softball and I keep the book for her when I can make games. I've never kept score at major league games though.

Also, I can't be the only person who used to play full seasons on nintendo baseball games--before they kept season stats--and kept score for all of my players.

Well, I did the same with a baseball BOARD GAME that I had since I was a little kid. None of those fancy electronics at the time. I created somewhat of a "fantasy" roster, and then put it up against the rest of MLB. 'Course I had way more time on my hands then, than I do now.
