Keeping score

Does anyone still keep score of a game anymore or is it a lost art? I still keep score of games at home for no real reason. I think it's something that my dad used to do when he would watch a game and I picked it up from him and it just stuck. What about you?

I think that is awesome.
Nobody keeps score anymore, nobody.
The last time I kept score, it was for little league a few years back. hmm
Somebody should come up with a way to do it online, in mass, and maybe collect the data.
For free of course. It is the internet.

I keep the book when I can make the games of the Babe Ruth league team my dad coaches. I sometimes do it at Fenway but not very often.

I sometimes keep score when I go to games, although not every time. Just kind of picked it up.

I've seen a fair number of people doing it at the Metrodome in Minneapolis.

When we go to a game, I often have my wife or kids keep score. It's a good way to teach them about the game and gives them extra reason to pay attention.

I keep score a lot; often when I'm right at home and almost always when I go to the ballpark. I have score cards made in Excel that I got off the Internet and I print them out after I fill in the lineups for a given game. I've already scored about 3 games this year so far that I just watched on television. I even taught my girlfriend how to do and I think learning how has substantially increased her interest in the game.

I like to do it because it helps me enjoy the game more; it also goes by much quicker becuase you're actively engaged in the game. Plus you really get an idea of how players are hitting. I don't keep track of balls and strikes, just hits put in play, but it's definitely a lost art.

My dad taught me how to score when I was very young when we lived close enough to the city to go see games at Shea. I even used to have a scorebook when i was a kid that you can get from sports shops and I would often log games I saw on TV or in person.

I was thinking about keeping score to tonight's Philly-San Fran game since Lincecum is pitching and I want to be in on the action.

Yeah I just keep score for hits in play, no balls and strikes or anything like that.
