Last year(first year) I had great pitching and nice batting average
and finished 8th in a 10 team league. Gotta do better this year.
Using ESPN average draft picks as a guide(good idea ?)
I am considering passing on Randy,Schilling and Pedro so I
can get 3 more bats in the first 12 picks. For the next 12 I am
torn between 2 strategies- ignore pitching again and hope for the
best or plug Zito in at 13, Gagne and Smoltz in at, say 16 and 17.
Advice much appreciated.
Thanks

Don't sacrifice those pitchers for bats. If you can get Pedro, RJ, or Schilling, take him and then go easy on the pitchers and take bats.

I took Pedro first (7th overall) since Randy and Curt were gone and the big bats were gone too. So I took Pedro and went on to the bats.
