How should I spend this time?

Postby RynMan » Sat May 05, 2007 7:59 pm

So I want to work 6 days a week to save some extra cash. I have a weekday free. How should I spend it? I want a job for 1 day a week that is completely stress free. Something where I could work at my computer at home would be even cooler. Are there companies I can join that out source Excel and Access work or that kind of thing?

Or should I just go get a job like every normal person would? I hate being normal....

Just get a job that's 7 days a week and then you don't have time to worry about all of that stuff. :*) X-I

There are some places on the web that are freelance directories where you can bid for that type of work. BUT freelance work doesn't fit too well into the idea of one day a week since you'll have a deadline. I can get you the links if you want but I don't have them with me right now.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Yeah, that would be cool - when you have time. Thanks, A.

I know I may be making a stretch here, but have you considered just taking a day off? I mean, sometimes it's nice to sleep in, spend a day doing some housework, getting some work done on your car or, I don't know, watching baseball?

Seems like a good idea to me. Enjoy your day off; go out for some beers the night before and spend a day at home or with friends.

I was going to suggest that as well, but RynMan seems pretty set on just working his butt off all the time. :-°

Yeah, but he wants a job where he can work one day a week stress free. Why not just not work one day a week stress free?

Unless you can find something you already like to do and turn it into some side money. I like to build websites and I used to make a little money in college doing that. It's nice if you don't have to deal with deadlines, but now that I'm out of college, I'm pretty content working 5 days a week.

LOL. I appreciate the concern. The way things are now, I basically work 4 full days, and study the other (uni). I'd like to spend another day earning some money. Nothing hard or stressful.....just something enjoyable. But I guess work like that doesn't exactly grow on trees. :-D

This is actually what I'm thinking of doing. I have quite a bit of experience building them. I'd have to go and buy some legit software then.
