I think that Oswalt will be fine this season and you got to go with how you feel about a pitcher. If you thought he was the best available than it was a good pick. I think Nevin will be fine too especially since he is slated to play first base instead of outfield. Edmonds always seems to do well. I am a little concerned about Ramirez at 3B though.

Ramirez posted some fine numbers after he hit ChiTown last year, I feel he will do just fine there.

Yikes, talk about overdrafting players. I'm shocked that you picked Crosby, Nathan, Loretta, and Lilly before the 15th round. I predict bottom half of the league. Never bet the farm on pitching early. Quick recipe to not earn the Yoohoo bath.

Are those your picks in the order you drafted them?

Reyes in the 5th? Way too early.
Crosby in the 8th? Way, way too early.
Nathan in the 10th? Doesn't even have the closer's job.
Loretta in the 11th?
Lilly in the 12th? There had to be better options. Even in a 15 team league.

You are going to have to make some very good trades way in your favor to have a shot. Edmonds is your best hitter by far, and his health is always suspect.

I wish you luck, it looks like it's going to be a tough road ahead for you. I don't mean that to sound critical, just an honest opinion.

just a question, where is teixeira and Miguel cabrera going in your drafts, as well as jose reyes

They went relatively early in the draft, around 6- 8th round I believe. I took reyes in the 5th. Remember this is a Serpintine draft so I started with the 4th pick and chose Prior... at this point I make a pick then have to wait 22 choices after which my next pick I have to wait 7 choices.

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 one way then:

15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 then:

1,2,3,4... etc...

So I think my picks have been damned good so far with the possible exception of crosby and with him I got faith.
