Ponson and Russ Ortiz are even worse than those guys listed.

While Ponson is over paid, has a drinking problem as well as various other social malfunctions... he's a decent pitcher, and will give his ball club some good outings every year.

Russ... well he's not terrible, but he's not good either.

Surprised there aren't more votes from Eric "Gave up another ding dong" Milton.

The Yanks paid a lot for Igawa, so there's that as a reason for his being employed and pitching innings.

Also, some teams (like the Red Sox) struggle against pitchers who don't have scouting reports written about them, yet. He can randomly be good.

Weaver always sucks.

Kei Igawa is like BP, I voted for him, absolutely terrible.

I beg to differ. They have worse numbers than some of the guys you listed. Weaver sepecially is not as bad as you guys are making him out to be. His numbers were quite good in 2005.

It's funny looking at Ortiz and Ponson's PECOTA card. The graph is completely red. :-D

If I was playing in a negative fantasy league, Jeff Weaver would be an awfully good pickup for today... bad pitcher vs. dominating lineup... could be fun for the Yanks today.

He's been bad sure, but he's pitched only one month in a new country. The language and life cahnges in general should be enough to not jump to conclusions while he's making the adjustments.
