What's this place?

As a matter of fact, for the last couple of years we have always planned to create some sort of fantasy school, but never got around to it. If playing fantasy baseball is like swimming, then beginners are usually shoved in at the deep end of the pool, and are only left with little options - either swim, or... - well, don't. So with that in mind, we have created a dedicated forum for members who are still learning the ropes.

Right now this is still a very loose idea, and we would like to give it some room to both wiggle and grow. This place could hold tutorials, witness discussions about newbie problems or other things depending on what you, the members, want and need. If it takes off, great, if it doesn't, that's fine, too - then this forum will be simply renamed to "The Laughable Lookalike League" and be moved to the Draft Room where it will lead a happy retirement life hosting the odd serpentine draft.

As always, suggestions, comments, ideas and innovations are very welcome.

i sure hope this forum takes off. I have tons a questions and hate to ask because i dont want to sound stupid, but i ask anyways and just and so far no one has laughed. my first year in football this site really did the trick for me as i finished in second place. i pretty muched learned all my stuff by cherry picking the knowledge displayed on this website. im hoping to do the same for my first year in baseball. cheers to the all the hopefuls and champs on this board.

While some people will jump on you for asking "dumb" questions, most people realize that we were all rooks once, and will answer them without snapping at you.

I know enough to be competitive at fantasy baseball these days, and it's only because I asked and the guys here answered. Last year I won my $$ league in only my third year, largely thanks to the tips and hints I learned from the Cafe.

So whatever comes to mind, be sure to ask. There will be someone here at the cafe who can answer it, guaranteed.
