I don't know what it is. He looks like he's aged 20 years since 2004. Unbelievable what has happened to this Cardinals lineup. In 2004, I think that was one of the best lineups I've ever personally had a chance to watch, with Pujols, Rolen and Edmonds, but Rolen and Edmonds have completely fallen off the face of the earth. Rolen used to be able to drive the ball to all fields, he was a strong line drive hitter... he just isn't doing that anymore. He seems weaker and his bat speed seems a lot slower. Just something about him isn't right. Edmonds on the other hand still shows flashes of that big uppercut swing and his powerful stroke but he has really faded. The Cards are doomed if those two don't get it going. I believe Rolen will get it going somewhat, maybe 23/90/.290, although a far cry from 2004 numbers, still not terrible.
