Good...to not so good

Postby rexinator221 » Sat May 05, 2007 12:31 am

So, the first couple of weeks, I was staying at the top of my league, in 1st for a couple of weeks, but now I've dropped, and I'm getting my ass kicked (by my dad, no less). So, I was wondering if anyone sees any huge weakpoints in my team that I missed...
Oh, and it's a head to head league with 12 members...:

Position Players
C- Ramon Hernandez
1B- Ryan Howard
2B- Dan Uggla
3B- Troy Glaus
SS- Derek Jeter
OF- Vernon Wells
OF- Chone Figgins
OF- Jeff Francouer
Util- Delmon Young
BN- Joe Crede
DL- Howie Kendrick

Pitchers
Starters- Tom Glavine, Jered Weaver, Kelvim Escobar, Tom Gorzelanny, Brandon Webb, Nate Robertson, John Lackey

Relievers- Francisco Rodriguez, Al Reyes, Akinori Otsuka, Bob Wickman

Just to note: I was using Aubrey Huff at 3B for a while, but then I saw Glaus as a free agent and thought he looked like a steal. I also currently have a trade pending, where I'm dropping Otsuka for BJ Upton. I'm a big Rays fan, and I know that shouldn't really have bearing on my fantasy team, but I mean either way I think I'm getting a good deal. Anyways, that's my team...When/if I get Upton, I think I may put him in for Uggla, possibly, or maybe but Young on the bench since he seems to be slumping a bit...

Very nice team. So you'll be trading Otsuka for Upton? Once the trade goes through you should consider dropping Crede for either Shields (but your starters are quite good already) or Zumaya.

You must be an Angels fan as well? :-B

Haha, it kinda just worked out like that during the draft. I looked down, and realized I had drafted 4 Angels players in a row. I think Shields is going to really be great, so maybe I'd get him just because of the possibilities... What are Zumaya's stats? Like, has he started getting any saves for Det, or is Todd Jones still pretty much exclusively closing?

Zumaya will occasionally receive save opportunities but he would be similar to Shields where you get good ERA, WHIP and K's.
